Yes the food is amazing, they have some american options for picky eaters but the Mexican cuisine is immaculate.

Hotel Xcaret Arte - Riviera Maya
Make sure to do a river cruise, tour, the market, Willy's chicken, cafe du monde. No need to go during Mardi Gras but would not recommend the summer. The artists in the square, find a street musician, embrace all the food!
