So underrated! Beautiful place to walk around and totally worth venturing to
National Arboretum
Fun little hike/walk, love watching the kayakers and checking out the falls. Can get a little crowded at peak times
Great Falls

Museums
One of the best parts of DC is how great the museum are- and how many there are! And, even better, most of them are free! Here are some of my favorites
Awesome contemporary art shows and sometimes there are cool events. Great views of the city, too
Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
My favorite museum in DC. The East Wing is an awesome building with a great contemporary collection. The West Wing is beautiful too- there are always fun plants in the atriums. Walkway between wings is a fan favorite Vik Muniz
National Gallery of Art
you have to pay but it's worth being a member here. lots of fun events and great location in dupont. and of course an amazing collection
The Phillips Collection
usually has some pretty cool exhibitions. interesting space!
Renwick Smithsonian American Art Museum
huge museum with something to interest everyone

brand new musuem near Nats stadium- one of my new favorites. incredible collection in an old school
Rubell Museum DC
beautiful museum (that I used to intern at!) such a beautiful building and amazing garden. make sure to go into the peacock room
