Aquariums
This the our favorite aqaurium in the NJ/NY area! Great for little ones! Watching the Hippo feedings are an absolute must. Check the feeding schedule for the day so you don't miss it!!
Camden Aquarium
This aquarium was on the smaller end, but it was really cute and modern! It was the perfect amount of time for a toddler's attention span!
SEA LIFE New Jersey Aquarium
The one thing that I didn't love about this aquarium is that there are separate buildings so you need to go outside to get to the next building. I didn't realize it beforehand so of course it poured all day and we had to run outside to get to the nex...
New York Aquarium
This aquarium is super cute but it is on the smaller side. If your toddler isn't into taking the time to stop and look through the exhibits, you could pass through in no time!
Jenkinsons Aquarium
Zoos/Petting Zoos
We really enjoyed this zoo. It's our favorite one in the area because it's not too big and it's not too small. It's very manageable to walk around!
Turtle Back Zoo
This has been one of our favorite adventures the last few years! Since Covid, they have gone back to letting us drive through in our cars instead of in their trucks and it has been so fun because you can linger at your favorite animals. We have alway...
Six Flags Wild Safari Drive Thru Adventure
The Bronx Zoo has SO SO much too see! It's really big and there's a lot of walking so if you're debating bringing a stroller, just do it! We didn't bring our double stroller and we regretted it within the first 10 minutes!
Bronx Zoo
The best part of the Popcorn Zoo was reading the stories about each animal's past. You can also buy snacks to feed the animals, which was really fun!
Popcorn Park
The Bergen County Zoo is on the smaller end, but it was cute to walk around and my toddlers had a fun time!
Bergen County Zoo
Seaquest is on our rainy day list! It looks like it's great for little ones because you get more interaction with the animals by touching and feeding them!
SeaQuest Woodbridge
This is a really cute little farm and they have a petting zoo area where you can feed the animals!
Allaire Community Farm
We went to the Alpaca farm for the first time this past summer and it was such a unique experience. We were in an open field with no barriers between us. You try to get close to them without startling them and having them spit at you, but once you ac...
Edel Haus Alpaca Farm
I grew up going to Demarest Farms and it's a great fall activity because besides a petting zoo, they also have pumpkin and apple picking!
Demarest Farms
This place has been on our list, but we haven't made it there yet. You get to touch to learn about the bugs and touch them!
