Fall is my favorite foodie time of year, and I absolutely love making foods that feel cozy and crisp, like the season. Here are some particular faves, along with a couple that I'd really like to try out!
This is an easy dinner with a HUGE flavor payout. The kids even loved them!
Apple, Cheddar & Chicken Melts
The oat crisp really sends this one over the top.
Brie + Cheddar Apple Beer Soup with Cinnamon Pecan Oat Crumble
This is so delicious, but definitely not a plain Jane cornbread! Serve with a main that will really marry well with the flavors.
Fall Spiced Cornbread
You don’t have to strictly follow what you put in, go with ingredients you love. I am OBSESSED with the Trader Joe’s sweet and spicy pecans, so I always sprinkle some of those in. And I ALWAYS get a shake of ACV in somewhere to really punch it up.
Stuffed Acorn Squash
So delicious, and you can use this sauce in a lot of different ways.
I played around with this because the bones are good, but it needs a little razzle dazzle. Add your flair as you see fit!
Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole with Butternut Squash and Cranberries
The only fall-winter cheese all you’ll ever need. It is gorgeous and packed with flavor. It’s a MAJOR crowd pleaser. TJ’s usually has some fun seasonal flatbread crisps that are fun to serve with this.
Pomegranate Jeweled White Cheddar, Toasted Almond and Crispy Sage Cheeseball. {Video!}
Delicious side dish. And you can play around with the accouterments—I’ve done dried cherries, dried blueberries, slivered almonds, honey roasted walnuts…it’s a hit no matter how you do it!
Pan-seared brussels sprouts with cranberries & pecans
Nutrient-dense and delicious. Be as heavy handed with your favorite chili seasonings to make it your own. I LOVE adding a little allspice and clove to my chili.
Turkey Sweet Potato Chili
One of my all-time faves. It is so comforting and delicious.
Butternut squash & sausage stuffed shells
When you’ve got plenty of time and want the people you’re feeding to really feel the love, this is just the dish.
Red Wine Short Ribs
This salad is not just delicious and nutritious, it’s also beautiful.
Fall Harvest Salad with Maple Mustard Vinaigrette
I like using vanilla oat milk instead of almond milk.
Slow Cooker Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
These ALWAYS surprise and delight when I make them. Serve with soup for a SUPER fun, cozy fall dinner.
Cheesy Crescent Roll Leaves for your Thanksgiving bread basket
Cinnamon rolls from scratch is very intimidating, I won’t even pretend like it isn’t. Just go slow, follow the steps, and your effort will pay off BIG time.
Pumpkin Pie Cinnamon Rolls | The Best Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
SO GOOD.
Pumpkin Biscuits
I’m always down for a fun, seasonal bread.
Roasted Butternut Squash Cornbread
This makes a terrific hostess gift, or anytime gift, or anytime snack, really 😜
Apple Cranberry Bread
You may have noticed I can’t get enough pumpkin-cranberry combo. And scones are great because their easiness to make vs impressiveness to serve ratio is off the charts.
